Lemoin Barber went to be with her Lord, Sunday, September 8th, 2013. Born March 25th, 1916, in Wahilla, Oklahoma to William & Mamie Legg. The family soon moved to Englewood, Colorado for the health of her father, who had been diagnosed with tuberculosis. He passed soon after they completed the move. Lemoin's mother determined to stay and raise her family, Lemoin, Mirum and William (Ghormley.) An early Englewood family their home was on the corner of Logan and Mansfield. Lemoin was a member of the first graduating class at Englewood High School, 1934. Lemoin married her high school sweetheart Charles Barber in 1936. They were long time members of First Baptist Church of Englewood and raised their family there. Jeriel, Del La Rae (deceased), Renny and William. Lemoin is fondly remembered by her 3 surviving children, 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Lemoin later attended and became a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Wheat Ridge.
A graveside service is to be held Monday, 1pm, September 16th, 2013 at Littleton Cemetery, 6155 S. Prince St, Littleton, CO all friends and family invited to attend. Family will receive friends at the mortuary at 11:30am prior to the graveside service. In lieu of flowers we ask donations be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
