A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son and friend, Larry Dean Bowlin, 62, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away peacefully at Swedish Hospital in Denver, Colorado with his family at his side. He was born November 23, 1949, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and grew up in Mountain Grove, Missouri. For the past 27 years he had resided in Ozark, Missouri, where he raised his three daughters, and in July of this year moved with his wife, Jancie, to Littleton, Colorado. He graduated in 1967 from Mountain Grove High School and spent his entire professional career working for Federated Insurance Company as an auditor in and around the Springfield area. He had a close family and countless friends, co-workers, and clients who will remember and miss him dearly.

Larry loved being a father to his girls, and a grandfather to his 6 grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Hap,” “Pap,” or “Papperoni.”  He was a lifelong and avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, a great patriot, a hard worker, and a lover of politics.  Larry loved a great debate among friends, and hunting and fishing with his deer camp buddies.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jancie Nann Bowlin; daughter Katie Tice and husband Eran of Denver, Colorado; daughter Lisa Applegate and husband Todd of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter Robyn Caldwell of Dallas, Texas; and six wonderful grandchildren who will miss him dressing as Santa each year:  Emily, Madison, Grant, Alice, Miles, and Brady. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Herbert Bowlin, and mother, Willa Merlene (Gasperson) Bowlin.

Service is on Saturday, November 24 from 1-4:00pm at the Downtown Events Center in Mountain Grove, MO.  Anyone can feel free to contact me at 314-210-8144 or lisacapplegate@msn.com for more information.
