Kirk S Steinmark Kirk S Steinmark, 71of Lakewood, CO passed away on August 9th, 2015 in Lakewood, CO of a lengthy illness. Kirk was born on February 3, 1944 in Scottsbluff, NE to William and Elva Lois Steinmark. Kirk had one sister Joan Ryan. He was married to Rebecca Gettler on October 8th, 1966 in Denver, CO. He attended Denver North High School, CU Denver and was also in the US Army. Kirk held many jobs and owned many businesses including Denver Parks and Recreation, Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, Wheat Ridge Police Department, Denver Organized Crime Strike Force, City of Lakeside Police Department, Sam's Cowhide Corners, Carl's Pizzeria, Sam's in Wheat Ridge, Balloons Unlimited, Donut King, and King Koin for over 43 years. Kirk was also very involved in Jobs Daughters Past Associate Bethel Guardian Bethel 11 Edgewater), Past Associate Grand Guardian State of Colorado, Demolay Legion of Honor, and Denver Consistory. Kirk was a resident of the Denver Metro area for approximately 70 years. His hobbies included auto racing and he served on the board of directors for CARC (Colorado Automobile Racing Club), watching sports, fishing, motorcycle riding and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Kirk had an extraordinary sense of humor that was adored by many and he taught so many around him so many things without them even knowing it was happening. Kirk is survived by his wife Rebecca (Becky) Steinmark, daughter Krysta Steinmark and her husband Jason Fixsel of Westminster. Grandchildren Tyler Steinmark-Schoen-18 of Westminster, Taylor Steinmark-Schoen-15 of Westminster, and Landon Fixsel-10 of Westminster. Nephews Mike Ryan of Boulder, Dan Ryan of Boulder, and Erin Ryan Chambers of TX. Kirk was proceeded in death by his father William F Steinmark, mother Elva Lois Stealy Steinmark and Sister Joan Kay Steinmark Ryan. Services will be held on August 15th at 11:00am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2100 Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80214 Phone (303) 238-7676. Reception will be held immediately following the memorial service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Arrangements made by Stork Family Mortuary, 1895 Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO.
