Kari Kohler
October 19, 1983 ~ October 12, 2019
Kari Kohler was born on October 19, 1983 to Keith and Kim Kohler. She grew up in Englewood, Colorado, where she attended Charles Hay Elementary, Flood Middle School and Englewood High School.
Following High School, Kari worked for AMF Bowling Center, where she enjoyed working with the various leagues. Kari also loved bowling and was a good bowler. Later, Kari began a career with Englewood Public Schools as a food and nutrition worker. She absolutely loved her job and loved all of the kids she fed every day. Not a day went by that she didn't have something great to say about her kids and the people she worked with. She loved everyone at every school she worked at.
One of Kari's passions was her adorable dog Theo. She loved him to the moon and back. She took Theo everywhere, and they were a comfort for each other and made a great family together. There were so many things in life Kari enjoyed including the Denver Broncos, dancing to music, spending holidays with her family and organizing every birthday. She recently discovered her love for Rexanne's Taco Tuesday pool parties.
Something Kari looked forward to were the Saturday visit's to her mom's house with her brother Kris, sister Kelsea and boyfriend Kevin. From her stories, it was always a great time, lots of food and tons of music and dancing.
Kari was diagnosed with Biliary Cancer on December 12, 2018. Kari's response to this was "I am going to fight this". She also told people "I am living my best life". In March of 2019, Rexanne, Vicki, Jana, Mikki and their families made Kari's dream of bringing her to Florida to see Disney and the beach come true. Kari treasured this time and held it close in her heart. We will be forever grateful for the excitement and joy this brought to her.
Kari was called home on October 12, 2019. She was with her family and although this has been difficult, it is comforting to know we have an angel watching over us forever.
Kari is survived by her parents Keith, Kim and Rodney, her boyfriend Kevin, her brother Kris and her sister Kelsea, her grandfather Roger, her aunt Kathy and cousins Josh and Ryan and her uncle Stuart. She is proceeded in death by her grandmothers Nadine and Ginny.
