june wray

June Aleta Wray was born June 3, 1931 to her parents Harry and Argie
Sides, in their home 18 miles southeast of Norton, Kansas and passed away in
in Littleton, Colo. on June 28, 2019 at the age of 88.

She worked at the telephone office after graduating from Norton Community
High School, before getting married to Duane Wray in November 1949.
They made their home and raised their family northwest of Norton on a
farm homesteaded by Duane's grandfather.

June was an active member of the Norton Christian Church, participating
in bible studies and the Women's Council, and serving as a Sunday School teacher.
She was a woman of prayer who could be called on anytime to pray for
family and friends. Her strong faith in Jesus was evident throughout
her life.

June was a farm wife who worked hard to care for her family. She helped her children with many 4-H projects, and taught cooking to 4-H girls. She worked at the Norton sale barn office one day a week for 24 years. She also made wedding and anniversary cakes for 20 years, and raised purebred dogs
for a number of years.

June is survived by her children, Nancy Nichols (Mike) Vancouver, B.C.,
David Wray (Carol), and Connie Mickey (Scott) all of Littleton, Co;
sister-in-law Wilda Bowman, Kearney, Neb, Jerald Wray (Dirk Mol),
Champaign, Ill.; grandsons Christopher Nichols (Alison),
Justin Nichols (Jaime Ramirez), Creigan Wray (Amanda), Denyson Wray (Ashley), and Cole Mickey; great-grandchildren Hannah, Carly, Leah, and Nathan Nichols, and Ellie and Denver Wray, other relatives and friends.

June was preceded in death by her husband Duane in 2017, her parents and brother John.
