June Joyce Holyer

Holyer, June, 81, of Lakewood, CO, passed away March 22, 2019, with family by her side.

She was born June 23, 1937, in Platteville, Wisconsin, to Clifford and Marvyn Horn.  She was the second of five children.  She is survived by children Dean Holyer; Michael (Thon) Holyer; and Nancy Davis; 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sisters Ann Wilson of CA, Judy (Jim) Sandercock of IA, and Susan (Doug) Fern of NV. Preceded in death by son, James Holyer, and sister, MaryBeth LaVigne.

A memorial service will be held, Thursday, March 28, 2019, at 1:00pm, at The Bridge Church at Bear Creek, 3101 S. Kipling St, Lakewood, CO, 80227.  A reception will follow immediately after the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Elks Club.

June will be forever loved by those that knew her and her loss will always be deeply felt.

God saw she was getting tired

and a cure was not to be

So He put His arms around her and whispered

“Come with Me”

With tearful eyes, we watched her fade away,

Although we loved her dearly,

we could not make her stay

A golden heart stopped beating,

she is now at peaceful rest

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best
