Juanita J. Corwin
February 11, 1929 - April 6, 2017
Juanita – Mom/Grandma to an extremely large family, passed on April 6th in Denver at the Hallmark Nursing Home at the age of 88, surrounded by loving family. She led a long life with her share of trouble but a larger share of happiness.
She was born in Detroit, MI to Harry and Cecil Morgan. She was the 2nd born of 5 children. She was married to Robert Burrow in 1945, and they had four children. They divorced in 1955. She then married Lewis Morris and had 2 more children. During her working career, she had many jobs, most of them working with the public in the form of telephone operator, or as a dispatcher for the police. After Louie died in 1992, Juanita continued working at her favorite type of job, as a police dispatcher. After retiring, she concentrated on her family, crocheting for any who asked. Her favorite was making afghans for her grandchildren and friends. She loved a joke, but could never remember them. She would laugh at everything, from a knock-knock joke to a slip and fall by someone she knew and liked. She often looked for a reason to bake, or make banana pudding, a family favorite. Playing cards was a great pastime.
Her home was always open to anyone who needed a place to stay. Always there if you need a hand. No one ever left hungry or without a hug and kiss. Her family always came first but her belief in God gave her the ability to continue to add to her family and it truly shows.
She married her longtime friend Joe Corwin in 2005 and her family grew more, adding three more children and more grandchildren. Juanita was “mom” to a lot of people.
Juanita was preceded in death by one son, Robert Burrow, her parents Harry and Cecil Morgan, two brothers, Russell and Harry Morgan, Jr. Her two husbands Lewis Morris and Charles Joseph Corwin. She is survived by her 9 children; Toni Rose, Marlene (Sid) Cook, Cindy Morris, Kathy (Henry) Lucero, Scott (Teresa) Morris, George (Gina) Kuwamura, Greg (Judy) Corwin, Carole Corwin (Shelley), Christopher (Dena) Corwin. She had 22 grandchildren, 15+ great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, one brother Howard (Corlyss) Morgan and one sister Ann Roosa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Rest in Peace, with love, your family

Forever in my heart Mom. I love you! Your baby girl.
Nita, you were my strength and inspiration when I needed you. I enjoyed your love and laughter and you were very much like a mother to me. I will deeply miss you and have no doubt that heaven has gained a beautiful angel
To all of Juanita's family,
I had the pleasure of meeting Nita on several occasions (mostly at the Christmas parties). I heard all about her from my daughter in law, Gen, who loved her unconditionally. I know she was loved by her family and her absence will leave a hole in many hearts. No words help.
I believe we will be re-united in heaven.
I pray for comfort and strength only Jesus can provide for all of you.
