Joseph Eugene Michaud

Joseph Eugene Michaud, 59, Denver, CO, died on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at
the Denver Hospice Center. He was born on September 17, 1949 in Denver,
Colorado, to Eugene and Therese (Gilsdorf) Michaud, Denver. He served his
country in the United States Coast Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Janice; two daughters, Christine Hoffmeier
and husband Jay - Denver and Jeanette Strode and husband Adam - Denver;
step-son, Travis Weigel - Denver; his parents; four brothers, Tom Michaud,
Bernie Michaud and wife Sue - Denver, Mike Michaud and wife Mary - Denver,
and Jerry Michaud and wife Renee - Hays, KS; six sisters, Katy Michaud -
Denver, Patti Clark and husband Dennis - Denver, Jan Huber and husband
Steve - Denver, Barb Michaud - Wasilla, Alaska, Marie Pierce and husband
Charlie - Denver, Gina McCutcheon and husband Mark - Denver; numerous
nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and many friends. He
was an avid outdoors man and angler and generously shared these talents
with most everyone he came in contact with. His love for animals was
apparent as he was known for raising pure-bread Labradors through Uncle
Joe's Labs. He loved life and will be sorely missed by his family and
all who were associated with him.
Recitation of the Rosary Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 7:00 p.m., Memorial Mass Friday, March 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. BOTH AT OUR LADY OF LOURDES CATHOLIC CHURCH (2250 South Logan Street, Denver). A Celebration of Joseph's life will follow the Mass. Graveside services at Fort Logan National Cemetery will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. (Staging area B)
