  1. My condolences to all of the family. I have been a friend of Nancy's since junior high school and man the trouble we would get into and to hear Mrs. Arias get soooo mad at us! May God bless all of you in this trying time and give you comfort. I love you Nancy and I am just a phone call away my friend.

  2. I never met Elvie but I know she must have been a beautiful and loving person to have raised a beautiful and loving daughter. Beverly,
my condolences to you and your family. There is nothing stronger than the love between a child and parent. Abrazos a todo.

  3. Thank you so much Karla! She loved you guys and please share the pictures we would love to see them. ️
    Nancy

  4. To the Arias family,
I send my deepest sympathy to all. My late husband (Vic) and I worked with Elvie at the Denver Mart for years and I remember her fondly. She worked in the security department in her smart blue uniform with her little wine colored tie at the neck. She wore it proudly. I pitied the person who would try to sneak past her post to gain access as she was a true spitfire and wasn't afraid to stand up to anyone or to speak her mind! She was a hoot! Many times she was my go-to person to interpret for me and proud to speak her beautiful Spanish. She always spoke from her heart when she spoke of her late husband and the years they spent together and of the time they had together in the band. She loved singing and once gave me a CD of those years and Vic and I would listen to it on the way to see family in Montrose. It was great! She loved her kids and grandkids and was so happy when they would stop by work to see her and say hi. I just want you all to know Elvie was truly loved at the Mart and there have been many texts sent between past employees since the Mart is now closed so many are aware of her passing and I am sure I speak for all of us that she has a place in heaven. And to make you smile: My guess is that she will be stationed at the pearly gates and nobody will get past her!
Family, please let me know if you have a celebration of life at a later date and I am sure as I go through pictures that I have, that I will have several of your mom if you would like them.

  5. Our deepest sympathy for the Arias family. I worked with Elvis for 12 years at the Mart and she was a dear friend to Josie and I. I am sure she is enjoying her time in heaven.
