John Ray Gant, 81, of Centennial, Colorado, died August 22, 2020, in Littleton, Colorado.

John was born February 23, 1939, in Hobart, Oklahoma to Hobart and Corra (Calvert) Gant.

He attended Englewood High School in Englewood, Colorado. Out of High School he joined the US Navy where he served for three years.  He then continued his education at the University of Colorado Denver where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.  He and his wife Constance Kay LeGrande Gant were married in 1962 and celebrated their 57 year anniversary this past November.  

He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved each of his grandkids.  He was an avid fisherman and loved to spend time in the Colorado mountains camping and viewing wildlife.  He loved music and playing the guitar.  More than anything he loved dogs especially his Labrador Retriever Jessie.  

He is survived by his wife, Connie (LeGrande) Gant of Centennial, Colorado; his son David John Gant and daughters Becky (Gant) Perez and Bonnie (Gant) Phillips and her husband W.E. Phillips.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Lindsey Gant and fiancé Jon Correia, Connor Gant and wife Lauren Gant, Kelsey Gant, Jacob Perez, Sarah Perez, and Elijah Phillips, as well as his sister Niki (Gant) Stevenson and her husband Norlan Stevenson.  

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Hobart and Corra Gant.

Pallbearers for the funeral will be his grandchildren; Lindsey, Connor and wife Lauren, Kelsey, Jacob, Sarah and Elijah. 

The viewing will be September 2, 2020 from 5:00- 7:00 pm at Stork-Bullock Funeral Mortuary at 1895 Wadsworth Blvd. in Lakewood, Colorado.  The viewing will be come and go to allow us to follow the restrictions of no more than 25 in the building at one time and is open for anyone who would like to attend.    

Burial will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on September 3, 2020 and will be a private ceremony for family only.

Arrangements are with the Stork-Bullock Funeral Mortuary.
