He graduated from Colorado State University in 1978 and worked as Lab Coordinator at the Colorado School of Mines in the mechanical engineering department for twenty-seven years. He retired in January 2016.
John was one of the most-warm hearted people you could ever meet. He had a way of ensuring everyone he surrounded himself with felt respected and valued, a characteristic very few people in this world possess. He truly loved his job helping and challenging students with their projects at the Colorado School of Mines, and made sure each student and project were recognized for their uniqueness and creativity. Many graduates visited him and kept in contact.
His many talents in wood working and designing along with creating astonishingly beautiful jewelry made from rocks he collected were admired by so many. He was in all sense accomplished, and his family is overwhelming proud of him. He will truly be missed.
Special thanks to his friends from Comfort Keepers who provided him with loving care.
