John Daniel Sutherland
John Daniel Sutherland, 71, passed away at his home on August 12, 2015 in Littleton, Colorado.
John was born December 11, 1943 in Clinchco, Virginia. He graduated from Ervinton High School in Nora, Virginia in 1962. From 1962-1983, he served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Master Seargent/E7. In 1996 he graduated from the University of Denver where he obtained a Master's degree in Safety and Health Management. After his military service, he pursued a career with Lockheed Martin as an OSHA Senior Staff Engineer. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and a 32nd degree Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Gladys Sutherland of Clinchco, VA; siblings James and Mary Sue Sutherland and their daughter Jennifer Marie Sutherland, all of Littleton, CO.
He is survived by his loving wife Chong Sutherland and children Michael, Christina, Douglas, Michelle, Melissa and Pamela; sister Jane and brother T.R.; by his beloved grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his very good friend Joe Rivera.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 15th at 11:00 AM at the Bullock Colonial Chapel. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. (10:00 AM-11:00 AM) Burial will be at Littleton Cemetery on Monday, August 17th at 2:30 PM, with Air Force military honors.

I wish I could have been with all of you. You are in my thoughts and my prayers. Johnny was a strong man and fought a courageous battle with his loved ones by his side.
