Jeena Eom Reynouard
July 22, 1984 – August 20, 2020
Jeena Eom Reynouard was born in Kangwon-do, S. Korea on July 22, 1984. Claudia Gausman & Robert
Reynouard adopted Jeena in May 1987 through the FCVN organization.
Her prename was modified slightly from Jee to Jeena and she became the youngest member of the
Reynouard Family, along with older Brother, Justin. Her smile lit-up our home and Justin had a sister.
Jeena enjoyed a happy childhood attending Stober & Everitt schools in Wheat Ridge, CO. With a July
birthday, Jeena always looked forward to pool parties with friends and the family fishing trip afterwards.
She loved joining her cousins for a week of hiking, horseback riding, birthday celebrating & cut-throat
card playing! She was the cutest Reynouard on the ski hill in her one-piece outfit, and she always was
the first to volunteer to go cut the Christmas tree each year. Jeena enjoyed all kinds of artwork & music.
Beadwork was another hobby Jeena excelled at and loved.
Throughout her life she was great at imitating funny scenes from some of her favorite movies like the
Adams Family & Fried Green Tomatoes. She would leave us in stitches with her expressive
impersonations. She sang multiple times at Boettcher Hall with the Colorado Children’s Chorale during
Christmas performances in her youth and always loved to sing under her breath on car trips.
Jeena was working on continuing her education, always trying to learn, and was looking forward to
finishing her degree and graduating soon.
Jeena is preceded in death by her mother and is survived by her brother & father.
We will always remember & sorely miss Jeena’s genuine smile & rolling laugh!
A memorial gathering will be held for local family & friends at Lakewood Park, pavilion #2, 150 S. Kipling
Parkway on Saturday Aug. 29, 1-4PM.
In lieu of flowers, consider donating in Jeena’s memory to Jefferson Center for Mental Health who provided many years of support for Jeena: www.jcmh.org
Jeena & I met through her father over 8 years ago. She was a pleasure to get to know through family gatherings to art projects we created together. We always enjoyed doing something artistic when she would come to visit or we would be together in Golden. One of my favorite times was when we rode the light rail to downtown Denver and created projects at Upstairs Circus. She surpassed me in doing the project on her own while I needed lots of help! Her glowing smile and jolly laugh will surely be missed. I already long for more time together…
I only had the chance to meet Jeena one time on her family visit to Delaware. It was so nice to be able to watch the slide show of many pictures throughout Jeena's life. The pictures show a happy little girl surrounded by a loving family. She was exposed to so many beautiful places whether in the Grand Canyon, horseback riding, or on the ski slopes she carried the same infectious smile. Those are great memories to hold onto and keep in our hearts
