James Adam Benefiet

On August 26th, 2026, we received unexpected news that our grandfather James Adam Benefiet passed and returned home to our Lord God.

James was born on July 10th, 1943, in Bismarck, North Dakota and was a simple man who loved all who came into his life. James joined the U.S marine corps in 1961 at 17 years old and was honorably discharged at the age of 20 in 1963. His rank was a private, and his specialty was a rifleman. James was married to Fay Nellie Benefiet till her passing in 2003 and helped raise Diane and eventually his grandson Christpher Doneyson as his own. James more than anything in the world loved his kids and grandchildren, but to most who knew him they knew him as grandpa. James was a kind and generous soul to all and will be missed by many.
