Jacqueline "Jacque" K. Abrams

October 26, 1950 ~ May 9, 2021
Jacqueline Kay Jensen was born October 26, 1950 in Ames, Iowa to James and Bette Jensen. Jacque was number three of seven children, with three sisters and two brothers.
Jacque moved to Arvada, Colorado in 1961. She attended Arvada High School, where she was a twirler. She attended college at Colorado State University, where she joined the sorority Pi Beta Phi, and obtained a degree in microbiology. She worked at St. Luke’s hospital in the hematology lab as a medical technologist.
In 1972, she ran into Dave Abrams who attended Arvada High School with her. Their love story began, and November 23, 1974 Dave and Jacque became one as husband and wife. Jacque was a proud police wife, with unwavering loyalty and support for the love of her life. Dave and Jacque have four children, Aaron(Stefanie), Mark(Amber), Alison(Vince) and Christine. Jacque (with the help of Dave) raised her children to have a serving spirit, teaching them that through serving others, they are serving the Lord. This guidance led to all of her children’s careers to be geared toward serving others. Aaron and Mark are Denver Firefighters, Alison is a teacher, and Christine is a Denver police officer.
Jacque is Owo (Oh Wonderful One) to her GB’s, Rylee, William, Joseph Abram, Ayla, Boaz, Declan and another on the way. Jacque’s greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren.
In November of 2019, Jacque was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma. She displayed unwavering faith in the Lord during her battle with cancer. Jacque’s strength, toughness, and love for her family allowed the blessing of 18 extra months to be with her. On May 9th, 2021 surrounded by her devoted husband and adoring children, Jacque entered the Kingdom of Heaven and met her Creator.
Jacque was a Godly woman, devoted wife, loving mother, silly Owo, sweet friend, prayer warrior, faithful servant, quiet fighter, fierce comforter, who had an encouraging spirit and a blessing to all whose lives were touched by her. Jacque started as oh wonderful one, but we realized she was OUR wonderful one, who will be deeply missed.

Jacque – a light in every room she walked into, a BSF leader to hug and laugh with and pray with, a kingdom warrior, a daughter of the King, a friend who's last request was prayer for her family to grow closer to Jesus through this trial, a sister in Christ who I'll get to see again someday! Until then Jacque, I'll keep praying and believing and doing – you are my role model!
May her memory be a blessing. I remember the fun I had with Jacque on a raft trip.
My sincerest condolences Dave. I can only imagine your heartache.
Sweet Jacque how we will miss your amazing outlook on life and your love of the LORD! You, “overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of your testimony!” Revelation 12:11
I will miss you being one of the few that always called me by given name, Anoush and not just Anne. Rest in the arms of Jesus sweet warrior and we will see you on the other side!!
Dave and family, Jacque was your OWO but she was my hero! She walked beside me at one of the most difficult times of my life losing my husband at the age of 23, and from that day to this, Jacque has been a friend, support, encourager, prayer warrior, and truly one of the finest human beings I've ever met! This is heaven's gain but our world's loss. I aspire to be like Jacque and she will forever be in my heart. Take comfort that Jacque impacted everyone she met for the Lord!!! Till we meet again, sweet friend! I love you, Jacque

Dave and family,
We are heartbroken and will miss Jacque so much. We had so many good times with you and her. She was in my life (Jan) at a very critical time and helped me through a great many things. I remember the days after your first date. She had written you a note and the pen was not working and it was a funny note with lots of OOOOOOO's! I am so sorry for you and your family. She is such a precious, vibrant spirit. We will always keep you in prayer! Paul and Jan Kohli

integrity, joy, fun, spontaneity, kindness – a Godly wife and mother – you are blessed beyond words. May you reflect on the meaning of her life and find peace and comfort and excitement for living your life for God and family. Billy Graham said “My life is in heaven. We loved Jacque from the moment we met her. She was always so sweet and bubbly. She was a very important part of our kids lives as they grew up and became a phenomenal Mom when you guys had your family. She always told me that was her main goal and she more than achieved it. We have so many fun memories and they will live on forever. Rest In Peace sweet Jacque
Davey,
I can't begin to imagine the grief you and the kids are going through. God bless and keep you during this troubled time. You are one of the strongest men I have ever known. Your dedication to your family was an inspiration to me. I chuckled when you referred to Jacque as the colonel.
I always considered you a friend, a valuable colleague and most of all a dedicated family man. You have our deepest condolences and you and your family are in our prayers.

From the time I met her and worked alongside her in BSF, it was like I had known her all my life. Her joyful spirit will always bless my heart. Missing you here but know you're with our Lord!
I will support the hospice you requested. They are angels on earth.

Our sweet Abrams family, we continue to send our love and pour our hearts out in prayer for you. We will always remember Aunt Jacque's compassion, generosity, hospitality, and joy that she radiated to everyone she knew and ever met. We will continue to be inspired by her- what a reflection of Jesus, what a gift to have known and loved her. We love you.
Dave & family,
What a beautiful, peaceful service for our Jacque today. We wanted to show our love and comfort you all – but through your stories, prayers, pictures and songs, YOU ALL comforted us! We hope the peace & love that your family shared today, stays with you forever. I know it will stay with us…
Love the Minks
Jesus' light shown through Jacque. She was full of life, laughter and love; always demonstrating God's love. Jacque's love was infectious. But now at her final destination, Heaven; she is safe and secure in the Lord's presence. And I pray that you and your family are feeling the same, pressing into Jesus' arms for comfort. But you just have to know, Jacque's joy has to be off the charts! She is seeing Jesus face to face!!
I'll miss you here on earth but will see you in paradise!❤
