Heather Renee Walker
March 16, 1984 ~ October 26, 2014
Born Heather Renee Felt, March 16, 1984 in Denver, Colorado into the family of Teresa Garrett and Joseph Felt. Heather is the second oldest of six children (of all her parents) that included her step-father Rick Edward Garrett and his two children Christine Lee Fern (mother of Tucker, married to Brandon) and Rick Dawson. She carried so many people and friends in all the seasons of her life! In her youth she enjoyed spending time with her grandmother Paula Maloney and celebrating Easter with her grandma Bonnie Felt. She attended Colorado Christian School at Calvary Temple where dressed up in true fashion, and ran around with the best of them! She graduated from Northglenn High School in 2002. In high school, she attended Jesus Pizza at Crossroads Baptist Church in Northglenn, and was integral in the Northglenn's Citizen‘s Teen Police Academy. She participated in many youth programs and youth groups at churches, including a church in Fort Lupton. She played bass guitar and drove her sister, Jessica Lynn Schultz (married to Matthew Michael Schultz) and her cousin, Crystle Lynn Schulze-Powers (born to Pamela Lynn Schulze and married to Stephen Powers) there weekly during this bright time in her life. In time, Heather began work. She was a hard worker beginning early and shown in her time at Learning Express. She worked with family and friends always beginning with her first job at Learning Express. She later owned the award-winning and classy Bugabee Baby Boutique in Flat Irons Mall. This was after marrying her love since age 15, Fernando Landois. They are no longer married, but he will be carrying on Heather's legacy through their two children. Together they have Jude Kyler and Rebekah Amalie, two bright lights here for all of us to carry in our hearts. She was a magical mother full of love and baby bouncing (like she practiced when her baby brother, Nathanael "Nano" Lee Lewis Garrett joined her family). Her friends and cousins held a special place in her heart! She also enjoyed being "Auntie" to Elise Renee Powers, Syrena Nicole, Jadyn Faye, and Jovan Brooklyn Chambers (born to her forever sister, Jennifer Janell Romero Chambers and her husband, Scott). Her oldest and loyal sister, Kristin Nicole Robledo and her husband, Cam-e-lo Robledo Forero contributed a full animal family to the family wolf pack. Heather loved popcorn and couldn't get enough shopping! Like Jude, she could excel at any video game. Heather Renee loved animals. Like Rebekah, horses and cats were her favorite. Heather has left Lucy Lou, her beloved cat, and Lido, her guard dog, to provide a little comfort to us. She loved nature and the mountains, including Estes Park, Boulder and, more recently, Moab Utah. Heather Renee's true life passion was people. Heather wanted to help people, and she always did. She worked many years in her 9-1-1 career at ADCOM and City of Thornton as a Dispatcher/Telecommunicator. She saved lives daily, and could recount stories of such events with crystal-clear accuracy. Heather lived life to its fullest! She also volunteered for a Suicide Hotline as a further opportunity to reach out to others. In her time at the City of Thornton, she met a man that became her knight and "heart song", Joseph Todd Walker. They married and lived in a dream home in Thornton. Together they parented their children; that included the one and only, Hani "Walkez" Walker. Heather additionally contributed to her community and the lives of her friends and family. She was one of few initial participants that worked to establish the Behind the Blue Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary, Thornton Lodge #16. She excelled at everything she did. When Heather decided to do something, it was "game on"! She recently penned a raw book as the author Samantha August, entitled Morbid Lovers (available for download as an iBook). No others compare to her beauty, exemplified on the outside with her beautiful dark brown and black locks, and seen deeply in her stunning green eyes! Her smile is carried in her hearts as she left to Heaven in the un-perfect, yet perfect moment. God's hand has been at work in Heather's life and it is her turn at Heaven's Gates to enter and rest with Jesus in our Creator's Infinite Love. She will be joined with laughter of children and has been welcomed by great grandparents, including her beloved Nan and Gramps. She has arrived to give a hug to her cousin Luke James Spencer (born to Jeffery James Schulze). She will join other butterflies, flown there a little too early, and sing with all the Heavenly Hosts. Heather would say, "Carry on where I can't, and do everything in life! Live life to the fullest, live passionately, wake up, love God, and never (ever) give up!" All those she left behind know how she impacted you, and how she was impacted by you. She was full of love and light. We send our message to Heather Renee: "It's your time in Heaven, our sweet baby girl, where you can rejoice and know NO pain. Until we meet again, know we love you and be good!" In honor of Heather Renee (our life's flower), any contributions will be distributed to Suicide Prevention, charitable causes, but first to college/future funds for Heather's children, Jude Kyler and Rebekah Amalie. At this time contributions can be made to the HEATHER RENEE WALKER MEMORIAL FUND, at Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement Federal Credit Union. Please contact them at (303) 458-6660 or 700 W 39th Ave, Denver, CO 80216. You can also check Heather's Facebook profile for further, continuing information. God bless you Heather Renee.
