Harvey Rusch

March 29, 1929 ~ August 7, 2023
Harvey Rusch of Lakewood Colorado, born March 29, 1929 passed away August 7th, 2023.
He married Virginia Spencer on New Years Eve 1950, and had 4 children, Ken, Linda, Peggy and Gary. He had 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Harvey was born in Pierce Colorado and spent his childhood working his family's farm while going to school. At 12 years old he left school to work full time, in order to help support his family while his father was hospitalized. He joined the Coast Guard at 17, and served his time in Alaska. On leave he met Virginia who lived across from his parents. They would marry when he was 21, and remained so until Virginia's death November 23rd, 2020. Their favorite things to do together were to go on cruises, water ski, and dance to many, many polka songs. Harvey created and ran a successful construction corporation for over 60 years.
Harvey returned to Virginia's side on August 7th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Weve been neighbors to Harvey and Virginia for 20+ years and there could be no better neighbors. They were always generous and kind and willing to chat when there was time. Theirs was the house where the family gathered and they frequently had family get togethers for every Holiday and birthday. They set a wonderful example of how to grow a close, loving family.
I know Harvey was so looking forward to being with Virginia again; we are so pleased they are together now.

Uncle Harvey, may you rest in peace. I can remember him polka dancing with all the ladies. He was a sweet, loving family man. Sending prayers and hugs to his family. ❤️ you all very much.
It is with sadness that I learned of Harvey's passing. My Uncle Rolland was my introduction to the Rusch family as he worked for them in their construction business. I have so many great memories of Harvey and Tommy's family and thankfully through a friend heard about Harvey since I now live in Oregon and lost touch. The most professional of tradesmen and always ready to help out. I will always remember him and his family fondly.
We thank you so much for these kind words.
