Grace K. Ellis. 95, of Englewood, Colorado and formerly of Meridian, Idaho departed this world on April 25, 2016.

Born December 10, 1920 in Hoffman, Minnesota and moved to North Dakota at age 5.  She attended country schools through 8th grade in Tuttle, North Dakota and her freshman year of high school in Steele, North Dakota.

The family moved to Nampa, Idaho and she graduated from Nampa High School in 1938.  She worked at Kings Packing Plant.

Grace married Keith T. Ellis on June 6, 1941. After Keith’s heart attack in 1971, she worked for many years at Restline Furniture as an upholstery seamstress.  Her hobbies included sewing, embroidery, crafts, bowling, crocheting, fishing, gardening & playing the slots.

She is preceded in death by her husband Keith, her parents Otto and Kathryn Borchert, 6 brothers and sisters and her grandson Steven.  Except for sister-in-law Echo Borchert, she was the last remaining Borchert of that generation.  Grace is survived by her daughters Kathryn (Richard) Reynolds, Linda (Kent) Russell and Elaine (Carl) Stanger; also 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  Other special people included nephews, nieces, other family members and friends especially those at South Park Mobile Home Park.  She was a member of Centennial Lutheran Church.

We will always remember her concern for others.  She dedicated her life to her loving family.  Her smile, generous spirit and love of family and friends will be missed by all who knew her.  Her loving spirit will continue through her family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at Centennial Lutheran Church on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.

  1. We have such fond memories of Aunt Grace! She always had a smile and was an example of how to be happy in life regardless of circumstances. We have no doubt she is celebrating her reunion with Uncle Keith and other loved ones who were promoted to glory before her.
