Gloria E. Redman

Age 88.  Gloria passed away peacefully on May 13, 2016.  She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Wayne.  Survived by her children, David Redman, Donna Holbeck (Richard), Dayle Redman, Debra Peterson (a daughter from another mother), and many friends.   Gloria grew up in Maine and earned her RN degree in the last class of the government's Cadet Nurses Program prior to her marriage to Wayne.  Wayne's Air Force career led them to various places and they finally landed at Lowry Air Force base in Denver, Colorado.  Gloria was a nurse for more than 40 years, in hospitals, private care, in the office of Lewis A. Fraterelli, D.O., and finally in a nursing home in Maine.  She loved her profession and was so proud to be a Registered Nurse.  Gloria and Wayne raised their three children in Englewood, Colorado.   They returned to Maine to retire and lived there for 20 years.   After Wayne passed away in 1998, Gloria returned to Colorado to be closer to her children.  Gloria was kind and compassionate and would always lend an ear or a helping hand to anyone who needed advice or assistance.  Although she was usually quiet and reserved, Gloria had a fun side and enjoyed her family and friends, animals, music, parties, and "toddies".   Most recently she was a resident of Hallmark Nursing Facility in Denver, Colorado.  Gloria and her family appreciate the care she received there until her passing.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Per her request, no services will be held.  Please share condolences at Bullockmortuary.com.

Guestbook

  1. Dayle,
I was very sorry to hear that your mom had passed. Growing up, I remember her visiting with my mom, either at our house or yours. She had a wonderful sense of humor! Such a sweet lady. I'll be thinking of you and your family.

  2. Dear Dayle and Family – I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing . . . may she rest in peace. Know that I am thinking of you and hope that you have many fond memories to help you cope.
    Much Love – Linda Brown

  3. A wonderful and thouhtful person we were neighbors for years at Wolhurst.

  4. Dear Redman family,

Please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of your mother. Our mother, Marian Osieczanek, lives at Hallmark, had a room across the hall from Gloria and shared a table in the dining room with her for their meals. Gloria always was very sweet, quiet, dear and had a gorgeous smile on her beautiful face when any one of us was up to visit our Mom and spend some time with them during their meals. We were so sorry to hear of her passing and again, send our thoughts and prayers as you grieve Ms. Gloria.

    Healing Hugs,

    Marian O and family
