Ginger L. Albers

July 25, 1959 ~ July 14, 2019
Ginger Lisa Albers died peacefully in her home, on Sunday July 14, 2019 at the age of 59. Ginger was born in Denver, Colorado, to Helen Witt (Danko) and Frank Witt on July 25, 1959, and was raised in Englewood, Colorado. Ginger remained in Englewood, graduating from Englewood High school in 1977 and later went on to raise two daughters there.
Ginger made many accomplishments during her life. Some of those accomplishments include, earning a purple belt in Karate, Ginger passionately spent time working as a victims advocate for Arapahoe County, and later began working as a receptionist for an optometrist office in Englewood. In 1993 Ginger participated in World Youth day, during the Colorado visit of Pope John Paul II. She was very proud to have done this and even got a certificate, that she framed and hung on the wall.
Ginger also enjoyed spending some time traveling. She made many memories going on trips to Moab with her family and (still) best friend Jill. She also took multiple trips to visit family in Florida. On one of these trips, her and Lex spent time fishing on the ocean, on another trip she took photographs while parasailing.
Ginger is preceded in death by her father, Frank Witt, her mother, Helen Danko, and her brother, John Gilland. She is survived by her sister, Linda Witt, her daughters, Lisa Paris and Nicole Derrera, her nephews Jason and Chad, her niece Gabie, her in-laws Jim and Lynn, and her 6 grandchildren.
Ginger was an inspiring example of true strength, dignity and grace. She was a women with a big heart, the kindest of words, and genuine beauty inside and out. Ginger was very much of a loving, caring and kind, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She undoubtedly changed this world with her presence and will be deeply missed.
There will be a memorial service held on Saturday July 27, 2019 at Bullock Mortuary, at 12:00 pm.
