Gerald Lee West

WEST, GERALD Lee (Jerry)
69, was born on April 27, 1936 in Ottawa, Illinois. He died of prostate cancer on March 13, 2006.

A long time Englewood resident, Jerry owned and managed Front Range Fabrion. Over the years he worked at Libby Owens Ford Glass in Ottawa, Illinois.

Jerry married Mary on May 4th, 1957. His son Rick was born in 1958 followed by John in 1959 when they moved to Colorado. Shortly after, they moved to Englewood. Son Gary was born in 1960 and daughter Lynn was born in 1962. Jerry loved the outdoors, gardening, and hunting, but especially loved fishing. He made numerous trips to Alaska to fish and also spent a lot of time in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and Wyoming fishing. He took fishing trips with his kids to Alaska and last two summers of his life. He was an active family man and a member of the Englewood Elks since 1997.

Jerry was preceded in death by his son John. He is survived by wife Mary, sons Rick and Gary, daughter Lynn, sister edith and brother Kenneth, grandchildren Cole Derek, Carmin, Amanda, Jimmie, Katie, Kami, Kasey, Kirsten and Jesse, and two great grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Englewood Elks Lodge (3690 South Jason Street) Friday, March 17th at 1:00 p.m..
