Geneva A. Abkes

Geneva A. Abkes was born 2-24-1925 in Prairie View Kansas. She was married to Romaine H. Abkes in Aug of 1950. They were blessed with 4 children that blessed them with 12 grandchildren who went on to bless them with 19 great grandchildren. As a women of God she would start each day reading her Bible, setting an example that when you put God first, He always provides for you (as He did for her through all the years). Some of her other favorite things to do throughout her life were going to church taking care of her family playing the organ or piano at church in the mountains or at home, crocheting, baking bread, pumpkin bars or cooking.  She helped with office work and errands for many years for her husband who had a landscaping business  She will be missed by many but never forgotten. With a true heart of gold she always made sure that her family was okay. She prayed for her family everyday, sometimes multiple times depending on the situation knowing that God was always the answer.  We love you Mom!!!
