Gary was married to Judith Zamlich in June 1962.

In 1963 he became a father to Gregory (aka his rock).

After the Air Force, Gary started his career as a Police Officer in San Rafael California.
In 1965 Gary's second son Robert was born into the world to a proud father!

After 2 years he continued on to join the Denver Police Department where he enjoyed a long and very rewarding career and went on to run the Crime Lab, Firearms Bureau and 911 Call Center (radio room). During his time as a Police Officer in Denver, Gary added a daughter, Peggy and his youngest Son David to the family.

Gary was a passionate and avid outdoorsmen and taught his kids about fishing, hunting, shooting reloading and other life skills to survive and thrive throughout life. He also instilled a passion for life and a strong work ethic along with compassion for his fellow man into his kids. He was a great father and even if he would not admit it, he was a hero in his children's eyes and a gleaming example of a father!

In 1982 Gary and Judy were divorced.

Then Gary met the true love and shining light of his Life, Anna!

For the next 35+ years Gary and Anna both lived their dreams in a marriage that is an example for others to emulate. They built a beautiful Log home in Lewis Colorado fulfilling one of his dreams. Gary and Anna also traveled the world together visiting Europe (Italy) and South America (Brazil), Mexico and experienced many other adventures here in the continental United States and Alaska. They wintered in Florida and summered in Colorado, enjoying the benefits of all the years of hard work by both of them. They cherished spending time with all of the children , including his newest kids that came along with Anna, her son Joe and daughter Ann, he was fortunate to now have 6 children that he loved very much.

In January 2017 Gary became ill, but Anna with undying love and dedication was able to keep him with us until the Lord called him home on September 13 2018 in the presence of his family.

Gary will be greatly missed by his 6 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, many other family and friends but most of all by Anna, his wonderful and extremely loving wife!
