Eunice Vannette
Eunice (Reitsma) Vannette, was born in Archer, Iowa on January 23,1915. She was the oldest of five children. As a young girl she assisted her father on the family farm, plowing with a team of horses and planting corn and oats. In her teenage years, she moved to Michigan where she met Walter Vannette who she married in 1936. The couple had two children, Barbara and Walter. In 1973, Eunice and Walter relocated to Denver where they became active members of Third Christian Reformed Church. For several years Eunice worked at JC Penney, as well as volunteered on the election commission and in the Bethesda gift shop. Walter passed away in 1979 at the age of 62. In 2001 Eunice sold her home and began her residency at the Christian Living Center. Eunice will be remembered for the quiet faith and perseverance that characterized her for many years.
She is survived by her daughter Barbara and husband, Wayne Vriesman; grandchildren/great grandchildren, Steve & Sheryl Vriesman (Joshua & Allyson Vriesman, [Liliann, Maddox, Everett]; Jessica & Aaron Van Dam [Kaylea, Kinley]; Jacob & Abbey Vriesman [Mack]); Sherri (deceased) & Robert Venhousen & Judy Stremler Venhousen (Justin & Melissa Venhousen, [Anneliese, Adelyn], Matthew & Jena Venhousen, Kyle and Linnea Venhousen, David and Ellen Stremler, Anneke, Jeannette, Julianna, & Jonathan Stremler); Sue & Daryl Poortinga (Erika & Nick Vroom [Theodore], Madeline &
John Feenstra, Alexander and Jonathan Poortinga.
In addition, she is survived by her son, Walter and wife Trenda Vannette; grandchildren/great grandchildren, Walter "Chip" (deceased) & Marcy Vannette (Mychal & Stefanie Vannette, Jessica and Jennifer Vannette); Aaron Vannette; Charlie & Saskia Vannette (Emma, Jacob, Linnea); Tena & Isaac White (Ellianna, Olivia, Luca).
Memorial services will be held at Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Hope Fellowship Christian Reformed Church (2400 South Ash Street, Denver, Colorado 80222) at 2:30 p.m.
Sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Such a great lady and she had a long, good life. What a comfort we as Christians have to know she is in heaven and that you will see her again. I will pray for you and your family on the loss of a loved one. Joan

Aunt Eunice will always be remembered with great Love. She was such a strong and wonderful person, and such a great role model. Especially her Christian faith. I know she is with the Lord as I write this note. Our prayers and thoughts are with your family. We know she will be missed dearly.
