Eloise Anne Getchell Denison, a longtime resident of Centennial, Colorado, passed away early Saturday morning December 27, 2025. Eloise was 90 years old. Born on February 14, 1935 in Franklin, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Wayne Elvin Getchell and Ethel Tipping Getchell. While still a young girl, Eloise moved with her mother to Colorado. Growing into adulthood she made a home in Littleton with her four children and maintained her residency there for 56 years.
Along with raising her family, Eloise was an accomplished professional. Upon her retirement, she stayed an active member for 40 years in Executive Women International (EWI). She was proud of the mission of the organization as they sponsor women to build careers, network and reach their highest level of leadership. Many friendships lasted throughout her life from her involvement with EWI.
Later in Eloise’s life she finally used her extensive genealogy records to join the Daughters of the American Revolution. She became a member of the Mount Rosa Chapter and enjoyed knowing that the legacy of her family’s service in the Revolutionary War will be preserved for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Eloise is preceded in death by her oldest son, Ira Kurtiss Denison. She is survived by his children, her grandson Ira Anthony & his wife Tegan and great-grandchildren Amelia, Keira and Ira Kurtiss, Jr.; as well as by her oldest son’s daughter, her granddaughter Genevieve Anne Love & her husband Chad.
Eloise is survived by her second son Gerald Wayne Denison & his wife Kimberly and Eloise’s grandchildren, Jeremy & his wife Brett, and great-grandson Jeremy Michael Jr.; as well as grandsons, Kyle, Aaron and great-granddaughter Shelby.
Her only daughter, Eloise is survived by daughter Tamera Anne Denison.
She is survived by her youngest son, Kevin Bradley Denison and her grandson Scott & fiancé Chelsea, great-grandchildren Ryley and Odin, grandson Matthew & wife Samantha, granddaughter Ashley, great-grandchildren Nevaeh and Matthew.
Eloise is also survived by her nephews Chris and David, and niece Jennifer.
Eloise’s family, most of whom have stayed in Colorado, brought her many years of wonderful memories and joy. Her life will be remembered by many.
A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date.
