Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Robel Robel-Betty Ann, 84, Garden Terrace Alzheimer's Center-Therapy and Rehabilitation, Aurora, Colorado, formerly of Johnstown, died February 14, 2014. Born March 14, 1929 in Johnstown, daughter of Karl F. and Margaret (Brauer) Stober. Preceeded in death by parents; husband, Wayne E. Robel, who passed on Sept. 11, 2011; brother, Alfred K. Stober and sister, Dorothy M. Yarnick-O'Neill. Survived by daughter, Debra , married to Timothy E. McKenzie, Davidsville; son, Robb, Anacortes, Washington; daughter, Wendy, married to David G. Jeffers, Glenwood Springs, Colorado; and Eric, married to Holly West, Arvada, Colorado; Grandchildren: Brian, married to Ginger (Fulcomer) of Seward, PA, Kathryn, married to Matthew Thomas, Johnstown, PA, Meghan, married to Garrett Adams, Johnstown, PA, and Krista and boyfriend, Travis Moss of Cranberry, PA, Alix Robel, Corvallis, Oregon, Nicholas Elio, married to Melissa (Daulton), and Megan Elio of Colorado; Great-Grandchildren: Brock and Bradyn McKenzie, and Riley Thomas. Betty is also survived by sister-in-law, Janet (Watkins) Robel, Cary, North Carolina and sister-in law, Betty (Robinson) Robel, Johnstown, PA, along with numerous nieces, and nephews. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church of Naples, Florida. Betty graduated from Johnstown High School in 1947. She began working at Field's Millinery Shop and then Johnstown Savings Bank. Betty and Wayne were fortunate to have lived in Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona, Georgia, and Colorado. In the 1970's, Betty worked as a librarian at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown for nine years. Betty and Wayne enjoyed the last "Birthday Reunion" of the 1947 graduating class in 2009, when they and fellow classmates reached age 80 years old. Betty was a devoted wife and endlessly generous mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family.
