Doris Maxine Rask

Doris Maxine (Lasley) Rask Doris, our wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2011, in Denver, Colorado. Doris was born in Longmont, Colorado on November 10, 1938, to Helen and Joseph Lasley. She was born a twin and her brother passed away after 6 weeks. She grew up in Milliken, Colorado on a farm with her folks and her younger brother Robert. She graduated from Milliken High School in 1956, and moved to the big city of Denver. She attended Park Business School and worked for a local finance company. Doris was married to Donald Rask from 1961 to 1983. She worked for Mathias Lock and Key for 27 years and retired in 2010. Doris is survived by daughters Dede (Andy) Minardi of Salt Lake City, UT; Tawnia (Tom) Tatasciore of Redondo Beach, CA; three grandsons, Jake, Conor and Noah and younger brother Bob (Barbara) Lasley of Hudson, CO. She was also close to her sister-in-law Lois Medlyn of Madris, OR. Doris had a wonderful group of friends whom she loved playing dominos with. Her favorite entertainment was her trips to Blackhawk and Las Vegas and she enjoyed watching any kind of sporting event, especially the Colorado Rockies. Doris was a very caring and unique individual who seemed to fulfill everybody’s individual needs in a special way. She will be sorely missed. Memorial to be held at a later date.
