Dontae Marquis Chambers

Dontae Chambers, 34 years young went home on Monday, May 25th 2020. 

Dontae known by those who loved him as “D” was born on July 8th 1985. Dontae had a warm smile and could make anyone laugh even if it was at his expense. As a young child he mastered dancing to hammer time and eventually was known by his Carlton dance. He was a protector of his younger sister Nicole, who will always laugh at his favorite question, “Is it because I’m black?” In his adult years he was reunited with his 3 brothers who will forever remember him dancing in the rain(literally). He was never a stranger to anyone he met as he could warm you up with his sly smile, laugh and sense of humor.  When loved ones were asked to describe D in one word or phrase they came up with goofy, charismatic, kid at heart, life of the party, rambunctious and calm in the storm. 

Dontae is loved by so many and will be missed for the rest of our lives. We have faith that he will meet us at the gates of heaven, probably doing his Carlton dance to welcome us home when it’s our time.

Survived by: Theresa Chambers(Mother) Herman & Maple Stevenson(Grandparents) Nicole Foster(Sister), Donald Stevenson(brother) Amber Clements(sister-in-law) Brenden Burdette(Brother), Julian Burdette(Brother), Dina Burdette(Sister-in-law)Skyler & Nehemiah Stevenson(Nephews) numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
