**In Loving Memory of Donald Trepp**

Donald Trepp, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Collier Hospice in Wheat Ridge, CO. Born on August 3, 1937, in Galax, VA, Donald was the cherished son of the late Wilbert John and Evelyn Idella Trepp and the brother of the late Arlene Trepp-Black.

Donald is survived by his devoted wife, Dianna Fay Davis-Trepp, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage since April 9, 1960, when they wed at the Lutheran Church of Resurrection in Roseville, MN. Together, they cultivated a loving family and left an indelible mark on the lives of their children: Debra (Thomas) Trepp-Holt, David John Trepp, Douglas James Trepp, and Denise Trepp-Banks. Donald was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Ryan (Michelle) Holt, Sarah (Phillip) Holt-Gosselin, Stefan (Amanda) Holt, Nicole (Cameron) Trepp-Godfrey, Zachary Trepp, Xander Banks, and Allison Banks. His legacy also includes five great-grandchildren: Dakota Holt, Coral Holt, Adelynne Gosselin, Penelope Gosselin, and Keaton Gosselin.

A graduate of Rumson High School in Fair Haven, NJ, class of 1955, Donald pursued higher education at Lehigh University before earning his degrees in Mining and Safety Engineering at the University of Minnesota in 1961. He later achieved an MBA from the University of Phoenix, showcasing his lifelong commitment to learning and excellence.

Donald’s professional journey began as a private mining consultant in St. Paul, MN, and led him to serve as a Mining Engineer at White Pine Copper Mine. His career took him around the country, including notable positions in Casa Grande, AZ, and Anchorage, AK, where he worked as a Safety Manager on the North Slope. In 1985, he returned to Golden, CO, where he dedicated his expertise as a Safety Manager at Coors Brewing Company until his retirement in 2003.

A man of deep faith, Donald was an active member of Glory of God Lutheran Church and dedicated his retirement to community service through Volunteers of America, assisting the elderly with household needs.

He was passionate about sports, both as a spectator and as a supporter of his family’s athletic pursuits. An avid fan of the Broncos and Rockies, he attended games with enthusiasm, regardless of the weather or outcome. Donald was a talented painter, gifting many of his beautiful pieces to his family, and he enjoyed the camaraderie of Bridge groups with Dianna. His love for reading, particularly presidential biographies, enriched his well-rounded character. A historian at heart, Donald shared stories from the past with younger generations, ensuring the family legacy lived on. A kind and attentive listener, Donald found joy in the stories and escapades of his large family. Known for his poetic Christmas letters, he kept family and friends connected with his thoughtful words.

A service to celebrate Donald’s life will be held on October 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Glory of God Lutheran Church, located at 12200 West 38th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice.

In the words of an Eskimo legend, “Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.” Donald Trepp’s love and spirit will forever illuminate the lives of those he touched.
