DeEtta J. Fox

DeEtta was born February 18, 1917 in Holly Springs, Iowa to John H. and Grace O. Cory. She is survived by her Granddaughter, Judy Shultheiss.

DeEtta was born in Iowa, and grew up in Sioux City Iowa. She later married Robert F. Fox (Bob), lived in Iowa a few more years, and later moved to Pasadena, California, and Phoenix, Arizona a few years after that. (Bob was a U.S. Postal Inspector). They moved to Denver, Colorado in 1972, and later lived in Littleton, and then Aurora. Bob passed away in 1992. DeEtta was a loving Mother to Patricia Ann Fox, and stayed at home with her while she was growing up. She was a wonderful artist, and created many beautiful oil paintings, pencil drawings, pen drawings, sculptures, knitted clothing, and many other arts and crafts.

She worked at Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital for many years throughout the late 80’s and 90’s, and also volunteered at Rose Medical Center for over 15 years as well.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 6th at 2:00p.m. Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Avenue Denver, CO 80236 (Staging area "A"). Anyone who wishes to celebrate DeEtta’s life is welcome.  There will also be an informal gathering after the service at New York Deli News Restaurant, 7105 E. Hampden Avenue, Denver, CO 80224
