Debra 'Debbie' Jean Thomas

DEBRA JEAN (SCHLUTER) THOMAS was born November 29, 1962, in Denver, Colorado, to Gene and Annitta Schluter. She was the oldest of four children. Debbie grew up in Arvada, Colorado, and graduated from Arvada High School in 1981. She attended Denver Institute of Technology where she met William M. Thomas; they married in 1988 and had a son, Jason. Several years later they divorced.  After being a stay-at-home mom, Debbie went to work at the Denver Tux Company. When it closed she became an RTD Access-A-Ride driver, trainer and recently qualified to be a road supervisor.
Debbie loved her animals. Throughout the years she had a variety of animals including horses, alpacas, llama, pigs, goats, turkeys, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, and her bird, Breezy. Her dream was to own her own property to accommodate her assortment of animals in one place. 

Debbie is survived by her son Jason, her parents Gene & Annitta Schluter, brother John Jay Schluter(Patty), sister Diane Rae Wolff (Chris), brother Joel Arthur Schluter(Kat) and 8 nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service for Debbie will be Sunday, July 2 nd 1:00pm at the Arvada Elks Lodge, 5700 Yukon St., Arvada. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to the Foothills Animal Shelter, 580 McIntyre, Golden, CO, 80401;
