Dean Thomas Carlson
Born May 27, 1955 and died July 24, 2019.
Dean lived in Parker, Colorado, and tragically did not survive a car accident that occurred near his home.
Born and raised by parents Virginia Summer Carlson and Harry William Carlson in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Preceded in death are his Mother and Father. Dean is lovingly remembered by his three children, Ian Carlson, Sean Carlson, and Samantha Carlson, all from Parker, CO as well as his sister Ann Shannon of Wheat Ridge and brother Curtis Carlson of Stockton, CA. In addition are his adoring nephews Kyle Shannon of Austin, TX, Eric Shannon of Denver, CO, and Jonathan Carlson of Stockton, CA.
Dean is best remembered as being an outstanding, loving and dedicated Father. A major part of his life was in the world of volleyball. As a masters player, Dean played both sand and indoor volleyball tournaments nation-wide, playing with and against other top national players in his age group. Dean also coached juniors volleyball, both boys and girls, and promoted the sport through generous contributions to charitable volleyball events and causes. Because of his lifelong passion for volleyball, Dean had many friends all over the country and world, and was held in high regard as a knowledgeable, friendly and engaging personality in the Colorado Volleyball scene.
