Darrell R. Warren, M.D.

Darrell R. Warren M.D., 87 of Centennial, Colorado passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 at home. Darrell was born on November 7th, 1929 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Chester Llewellyn and Marguerite (Packham) Warren. He was raised in Oklahoma City, the 6th of 7 children. Darrell graduated from Classen High School in 1948. He went to Oklahoma University and continued on to Oklahoma Medical School. He served as 1st Lieutenant in the Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio from 1952-1954. He completed his OBGYN residency at Denver General Hospital. The night before he went into private practice in 1964, he met his wife to be, Paula Jean Youngclaus. He delivered thousands of babies and dedicated himself to his practice and patients. He served on numerous medical boards before he retired in 2000. He was an avid fly fisherman, who enjoyed tying his own flies and fishing on the rivers of Colorado. Darrell enjoyed many annual family trips to Lake Powell. He had an incredible sense of humor and always brought laughter to the room. His greatest love was his family. He is survived by his wife Paula and his 4 children: Richard, Randy, Tim, and Krissy. He has 6 beloved grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Trey, Cameron, Taylor, and Joey. He has 4 great grandchildren, Kadyn, Avery, Presley, and Gavin. He was a gentle soul with an enormous heart and will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date, details will be provided.
