CLIFFORD WESLEY BOLLER

Cliff died peacefully in his sleep on June 9, 2019 at the age of 90.  He entered this world on March 12, 1929 in Vesta, NE.  Cliff worked his entire career for the Burlington Northern Railroad as a signal maintainer.  He began working for the railroad upon completion of high school.  He took a leave of absence from the railroad during the Korean War enlisting in the army working as a cook.  After the war he returned to work for the railroad completing a total of 41 years of service. He retired from the railroad at the age of 62. 

 

He married Rose Hummell on December 12, 1953.  They moved around with the railroad from Wray, CO to Lincoln, NE, Harvard, NE and then to Denver.  

 

Cliff loved working in his rose garden.  He had a beautiful garden and very often people would stop by on the sidewalk and look at them.  He loved doing paint by number pictures and working puzzles.  He also enjoyed reading the newspaper, keeping up with current events, and drinking coffee with a group at the Meridian.

 

He is survived by two daughters, Susan (Rusty), Patty (Jack).  Four grandchildren:  Dan, Jim, Ben, and Sarah.  Two great grandchildren:  Jackson and Kendell.  He was proceeded in death by his grandson Sean and his wife Rose.

 

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 15 at 11:00 am

Military Honors and Burial will be at Ft. Logan Thursday, June 20 at 12:00 pm
