Claudia Marie Harris

Claudia Marie Harris, 69, of Aurora, Colorado passed away suddenly of natural causes on Tuesday, May 16, 2017.

She was born January 13, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan to Robert and Betty (Helmrich) Harris, and was the oldest of four children. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Michigan and moved to Colorado in 1975.

Claudia was an avid reader who who kept a close eye on politics and loved to cook. She retired last year after spending more than 15 years working as a Tax Examiner for the State of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her father, "R.J." Harris, and her husband, John S. Rockefeller. She will be dearly missed by her mother, Betty, her brother Dan, her sisters Rebecca and Leigh Ann, and her son, Sean.

The family has decided to commemorate Claudia's passing privately, but encourages memorial donations to Mission K9 Rescue, a non-profit organization dedicated to the service of retiring and retired Military Working Dogs and Contract Working Dogs (like her late dog, Nina), more info @ missionk9rescue.org.
