Charles "Chuck" F. Clark-Martin
April 20, 1955 ~ October 28, 2018
Charles (Chuck) Fredrick Clark-Martin passed away peacefully on October 28, 2018 after batting West Nile virus encephalitis for almost a month.
He was born in Denver to Fred C. Martin and Joan L. Martin on April 20, 1955. Chuck was a fourth-generation Colorado native. He was the oldest of seven children. Chuck graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1973. In 2012, he retired from the Denver Sheriff Department as a sergeant after 35 years of service.
Being active was a daily occurrence for him. Chuck always enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending most of his time outside. The beach was a favorite location of Chuck's. He picked up beekeeping during retirement and enjoyed taking care of his hives. His terrier Walter-Mitty never left his side. He was known as a handyman and could fix anything. Spending time with family and friends was one of his favorite activities.
He is preceded in death by his stepson (Justin Houghton), and father-in-law (Paul Clark). He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Paula Clark-Martin, daughter Katelyn Lucero (son-in-law Jeromy Lucero), daughter Rebecca Martin, son Wesley Martin (daughter-in-law Kat Martin), daughter Lorrin Houghton, beloved dog Walter Mitty; grandchildren: Kayla, Ty, Trevin, Trystian, Trinitey, Kingston, granddog Luna Lucero, his parents, siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and friends.
