Carolyn M’Closkey Earley

Aged 69, passed away on December 13, 2012 in Greenwood Village, CO.  She was born in Encino, CA on July 7, 1943, the daughter of Robert and Virginia M’Closkey.  Carolyn moved to Denver with her family when she was a teenager and graduated from Saint Mary’s Academy.   She then worked to put herself through the University of Denver and graduated, ultimately obtaining her MSW degree.  Carolyn went into private practice and devoted countless hours of care and support to her patients.  She also volunteered to provide counseling services to elderly and disadvantaged patients.  She was an avid reader with a lifelong love of the literary arts.  She had a beguiling wit and keen intellect. She was adept at making little kids laugh and bringing a smile to the face of the grumpiest of adults.  She made her home in Denver and Littleton for more than 50 years.  Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved son, Stephen.  She is survived by her siblings, Bob M’Closkey (and his wife, Kathy), Linda Walden (and her spouse, Steve Vance), and Brian M’Closkey (and his wife, Heidi), her nephew Bob M’Closkey and nieces Karen and Zoe M’Closkey.  She is also survived by her cherished friends, Katherine McNamee, Kim Shinabery, and Mary Munyua.

Memorial service will be held at the Bullock Colonial Chapel on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.
