Carolyn Ann Wuthrich

Carolyn Ann Wuthrich, 76, of Englewood, passed away April 14, 2009. Preceded in death by beloved husband, Fred J. Wuthrich. Survived by sons David (Sally) and Paul (Lisa); grandchildren John, Matthew, Tyler, Davis and Ashley; brother, Roger Acton. Memorial Service Thursday, April 23rd, 11am, First Plymouth Congregational Church, 3501 S. Colorado Blvd., Englewood, CO 80113, 303-762-0616.

Carolyn was born February 24, 1933 in Minnesota to parents Veva (Halverson) and Harry Acton. She graduated from Macalester College in 1954, and moved to Denver shortly thereafter. She married Fred J. Wuthrich in 1961. They were married 32 years before Fred passed away in 1993. Carolyn was a consummate learner and a student of life. She was also a supporter of the arts. She was active in her church and Skyline Acres Swim and Tennis Club. She volunteered at Metro CareRing, the Museum of Nature and Science, and many other causes in the community. She and Fred shared a love of travel and nature, including trips to the mountains and their beloved cabin at Troublesome Creek. In her later years Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her friends, her family and her especially beloved five grandchildren.
