Carla  Stevens

Carla Sherva Stevens passed away on 01Sep2016.   She served in WWII as part of the WAC and will receive a military honors funeral at Ft. Logan Cemetery on 16Sep2016 at 9:30a.  Carla will be buried with her husband, Charles R. Stevens, a bronze medal recipient.  Carla will also have a service at her continuum living facility, Holly Creek at 5500 E. Peakview, Centennial, CO at 2:00pm the same day.  Carla was born on 20Apr1924 in Hitterdal, Minnesota to Carl Sherva and Marie Jahr Sherva.  She graduated from Fargo North Dakota High School in 1942.  She was honorably discharged from her military duties on 03Dec1945.   Carla was a breast cancer survivor.   Carla opened up her heart and adopted two children both of which have survived her, Carrie Marie Stevens and Gilman Rolfe Stevens.   Carla loved her animals and was especially fond of her dogs, including her last one at Holly Creek, Billy.
