Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. To Al's family, I'm so sorry for your loss.  I met Al back in the 70's when his daughter Janet was a neighbor of mine.  We enjoyed a laugh or two with him and know he will be missed.

  2. Sorry that we have lost a very, very good business friend. He always treated the customers with a very gracious attitude.

Our prayers are with the entire family.

  3. Al was our first neighbor on Charlou Cirle in Cherry Hills Villaqe (1978). Al was a mister do it yourself neighbor. He installed their sprinkler system, he plumbed their swimming pool and built a wood rail fence for his flowers. He loved projects.  He was always helping his neighbors. Our lives have  been enriched through our friendship with Al through all these years.

  4. I have wonderful memories of Al. He was always very kind and loving to me. He will always hold a very dear place in my heart.

  5. I was saddened and grieved to learn of Al's passing–he was a true gentleman and will be missed–my condolences to his family.

  6. Al was my step-father and he did a wonderful job of taking on three teenagers after he had already raised his own children. He was generous, loving and fun.  He taught me to change a tire, gave me a summer job at EMW and hosted many pool parties for my friends. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

  7. I just wanted to say AL was my friend and I had many conversations with him over the years, and he was a real man. Kind hearted and really got what was going on at all times. I will miss him, and can only want to wish his family my heart felt condolences. Ed

  8. I'm sending  best wishes and love to all of you .  I had so many  wonderful  memories working there  at E. M. W. for 15 years   You became  part of my family.   Al will be missed   He made every day a surprise with his wit and humor

  9. We were saddened to learn of Al's passing.  We viewed him as a good friend and a member of America's "Greatest Generation."  Whenever we paid a visit to E.M.W., he always greeted us with a big smile and kind demeanor.  He was a good man who lived "a life well lived."  Well done Al!  We will miss you.  May your Soul find peace and eternal rest.

  10. I am very very sorry to hear that Al has passed away. I worked with Al for a number of years with his advertising. I truly liked our meetings. He was such a warm and friendly man. He is one of the few clients that I enjoyed talking politics with. My prayers and thoughts are with your family. – Kristin

  11. Our deepest sympathy to the Helmstaedter family. We have been blessed to have Al as a wonderful neighbor and friend for many years.
