Breck Ken Barr

'What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.' -Helen Keller Breck Ken Barr, 55. of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2014. He had been battling heart disease for several years. Breck was born in Wichita, Kansas on May 29, 1959. He lived in Leoti, Kansas until the family moved to Rocky Ford, Colorado in 1970, and then later to Denver, Colorado in 1973. Breck graduated from Green Mountain High School in 1978. While in high school he participated in football, wrestling and skiing. Following graduation, he moved to Midland/Odessa, Texas to work for First National Bank in Midland, but soon transitioned over to work in the energy industry. During the 80's he worked for Schlumberger and Cardinal Surveys performing production logging and well stimulation services. In 1992, he moved to Dallas, Texas with his family. Breck proudly earned his pilot's license and loved flying his own plane. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and restoring classic cars; including several Corvettes and and an MG. Breck was a kind and gentle soul who saw the good in everyone. He loved his family and was so proud of his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Barr. Surviving are his father, Ken Barr; sister Dea (Paul) Voegeli; Stacey (Mitch) Soboleski; daughter Kendra (Tyler) Salmon; son Brandon (Ann) Barr; grandchildren Jason, Gracie, Elijah and Noah; and loving nieces, nephew and other relatives. A private memorial serve will be scheduled by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
