Antonio (Tony) Enrico Bertapelle:
Born June 28, 1923 in Missoula, MT to Olga Blanche Marek and Antonio Francisco Bertapelle.. He was proud to have served in the Air Force for 21 years, including service in England during WWII. After retiring from the Air Force, he had a second career as a locksmith in the greater Denver area.
Tony was an active member of the Second Air Division 8th Air Force Reunion group throughout the rest of his life. He and his wife Lois enjoyed many reunions together, including trips to England, where he could revisit the sites where he had been stationed.
He was a proud Derby/Commerce City area resident since 1957, raising 5 children and enjoying his grandchildren and great grandchildren in his later years.
His family and friends were very proud that he was chosen as the Grand Marshall of the annual Commerce City Memorial Day parade in 2009, a parade he attended faithfully throughout the years.

Also survived by brother, Allen (Karen) Bertapelle of Missoula, MT, aunt, Lilly Leach of Seattle, WA, and sisters-in-law Ruth Bertapelle, Loretta Bertapelle and Sally Holmes as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Fort Logan National Cemetery (staging area B) at 12:30 p.m.
