Anthony Martinez, 57 of Denver, Colorado, sadly passed away June 23rd, 2018, with his family by his side.
He was born to the late Dolores Gonzales Marquez, Alex Martinez and William Gonzales on August 8, 1960, in Denver, Colorado. As a young boy he attended Annunciation school and was actively involved in sports. Anthony stood out as a talented boxer, basketball and football player and participated in many cultural activities including folklorico dancing. As a young adult Anthony started a family in which he fathered a son and three daughters who he loved dearly. Family gatherings and holidays were the times where Anthony always shined as his family was always first in his eyes. Music, dancing and telling jokes usually followed him everywhere he went no matter what was going on. Anthony had many hobbies that included chess, cards, pool and anything competitive. During his downtime nothing made Anthony happier than enjoying either a great movie or a sporting event (Especially A Denver Bronco game!). Life and extremely outgoing! Anthony is survived by 4 children Anthony Camacho, Sherrianne Camacho, Shantel Camacho, Annie Martinez, eleven grand children his first love and mother of his children Sherrie Camacho and his last love Loretta Fierro. He is also survived by four sisters Debbie, Gloria, Loretta, Annette many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Anthony was also proceeded in death by his late brothers Eddie, Georgie, and David. Anthony will be greatly missed but never forgotten
His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a (Rosary/Funeral service which will be held in the Annunciation church at 3601 Humboldt St. Denver, Colorado 80205 on Thursday July, 5th, 2018 commencing at 7pm to be followed by mass Friday July, 6th, at 10am. Burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery. A special thanks to the Stork Family Mortuary and to all of the family and friends for their love, support and donations during this time.
