Ann Susanna Blanchard

Ann left this life on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Porter Hospital in Denver, Colorado.

Annie entered this life on March 11, 1926; the daughter of John and Susanna Leiker. She married Malvern (Mal) Blanchard on June 19, 1968 in Denver, Colorado. Mal preceded her in death on January 5, 1994.

Annie is survived by a brother, Solomon (Ellis, Kansas) and a sister, Isabelle (Wichita, Kansas) and numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat, Heidi. She was preceded in death by her brothers Ed, Henry, Fritz and William and her sisters Agnes, Josephine, Mary, Dorothy, Tecla and Lucille.

Annie worked as an executive secretary for the City of Anaheim, California for many years before retiring in Sun City, California. She moved for a short time back to Hays, Kansas before moving to Centennial, Colorado where she spent her remaining life with her sister Agnes’ family.

Per Annie’s request, there will be no memorial service and her ashes will be interned at the RiversideNationalCemetery in California next to her love, Mal.

God saw her getting tired,
