'Angel J. Leon 10-16-1960♥️06-26-2018
God has taken his Angel home!
She is survived by her son: Matthew Leon, grandson: Fabian Leon, parents: Charles & Juanita Leon, sister: Valerie Leon, brothers: Charlie Leon, Timothy D. Leon, David Leon , Steven Bonnett and DJ Mc Dermott: her Aunt Celia Leon plus numerous nieces, nephews & great nieces and nephews as well as relatives/cousins in Colorado, Oregon, and Seattle.
A native to Denver, she was the second of five children born to Charles & Juanita Leon. Growing up, she attended Cowell Elementary, Lake Jr. High School and West High School. Sports were a passion with AWA wrestling being her favorite! She knew many of the wrestlers and attended wrestling matches for years!
Over her career, she gave and believed in the ‘Best customer service old school style!' working at Subway Sandwich shops, the DCPA Parking facilities, Frontier Airlines and Antique Row with The Treasure Chest Antique Store. Later, deciding to return to school and joining her sister and brothers in the beauty industry working as an esthetician at Timothy D's Salon!
While strong physically her inner strength always showed through as she dedicated her life to her son Matthew and excelled as a single mother and again when learning she was going to be a grandma. The birth of Fabian brought her so much joy! Her boys were the light of her life and her biggest joy. They captured her heart and remained her priority.
Holidays were special to Angel and she looked forward to the family time that would be spent together. She knew it was important for the younger generation, especially the little children to have the experience and know the love of family! She went out of her way to make sure she had something for each one every year.
Whether dancing or just listening, music made her happy and put a smile on her face. Her taste in music ranged from Country and Spanish to Hip Hop and Gospel. If it was good music, she would smile, sing, and dance!
She loved Tulips, Spaghetti and Chubby's (but Never onions!)♥️and if you remember Reese's Coffee House downtown, a Reesearito!😊 She loved life and she loved her God!
There will forever be an ache in our hearts as this beautiful spirit will be missed by her friends and family! With a smile to brighten any room & a big heart, those close to her became aware of what a true Angel is .......!'
