Amberly Rose Deneau

January 3, 1999 ~ June 30, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Amberly Rose Deneau on June 30, 2025, at the age of 26.
Amberly was born on January 3, 1999, and from the beginning, she brought light and warmth to those around her. A fun, loving, and deeply caring woman, Amberly had an infectious energy and a heart that radiated kindness. She treasured her friendships and held her family close to her heart.
Amberly was a gifted esthetician and the proud owner of her own skincare business. She brought passion and talent to her work as a permanent makeup artist and skincare specialist, helping others feel confident and cared for. Ambitious and driven, she was pursuing her dream of becoming a biochemical engineer. She was attending Red Rocks Community College and preparing to transfer to the Colorado School of Mines.
Despite facing ongoing health challenges, Amberly never let them define her. She was always ready for an adventure—whether it was camping under the stars, traveling to new places, crafting something beautiful, or simply spending meaningful time with her loved ones. She had a deep love for music, a soft spot for animals—especially her beloved cats, Banjo and Moonlight—and a natural generosity that made those around her feel seen and supported.
Amberly is survived by her loving parents, Todd and Jocelyn Wheeler; her brother, Nathan Deneau, and his wife, Lorelei; her grandmother, Beverly Vander Lugt; her grandparents, Ronald and Linda King; her aunt, Diane Dennehy; her aunt and uncle, Amy and Mike Chalian, and their son, her cousin, Khaner Chalian; and her paternal relatives, including her father, John Deneau; her grandparents, Peggy and Jeff Spencer; and her half-brother, Timothy Deneau, and his family.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Vern Vander Lugt; her uncle, Tom Gebhart; her cousin, Jordan Rae Dennehy; and her uncle, Aaron Deneau.
In her final act of kindness, Amberly gave the gift of life to others through organ donation, saving four lives with the donation of seven of her organs.
A memorial service to honor Amberly’s life will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Bergen Park Church, 31919 Rocky Village Drive, Evergreen, Colorado. A scattering of her ashes will follow at Mt. Lindo Cemetery, 5928 S. Turkey Creek Road, Morrison, Colorado.
Amberly’s life was a beautiful blend of strength, compassion, creativity, and love. Though her journey was not without pain, she gave so much to others—both in life and beyond. She will be remembered always for her bright spirit, her generous heart, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.

“My love, I was so wrong. Dying is the opposite of leaving. When I left my body, I did not go away. That portal of light was not a portal to elsewhere, but a portal to here. I am more here than I ever was before. I am more with you than I ever could have imagined. So close you look past me when wondering where I am. It’s Ok. I know that to be human is to be farsighted. But feel me now, walking the chambers of your heart, pressing my palms to the soft walls of your living. Why did no one tell us that to die is to be reincarnated in those we love while they are still alive? Ask me the altitude of heaven, and I will answer, ‘How tall are you?’” -Andrea Gibson (from her poem, “A Love Letter from the Afterlife”)
My heart goes out to you and your family. My prayers are with you ❤️
I knew Amberly for less than a year, but had been hearing about her for years from her mother. I was and am so impressed with her kindness, compassion, understanding, love of life, intelligence, skill, and pursuit of her degrees. I knew that she would be one to watch for great things. Now, I’m beyond sadness and understanding that she is gone. Her passing is just too much. The world is poorer, and my heart aches for her family. So young, so much promise. Love and comfort to all of you.
