Agnes Wasinger was born on June 3, 1922 in Ellis, Kansas to Susanna and John
Leiker. She was preceded in death by sons James Wasinger and Robert Wasinger and
Grandson Erick Wasinger. She is survived by loving husband Tony Wasinger who she
married on April 12, 1945. She is also survived by her brother Solomon Leiker of
Ellis, Kansas; sisters Josie and husband Jerome Schmidt of Hays, Kansas, Anna Blanchard
of Hays, Kansas and Lissie and husband Alvin Unrein of Wichita, Kansas. Sons Richard
and wife Ellia De Ruiz Wasinger, Joseph A. and wife Rexine Wasinger, daughters Sue
and husband Roy Brace, Helen and husband Jerry Dukes, Louise and husband Mike
McDonald. Daughter in laws Gail Wasinger and Joyce Wasinger. Grand sons Luke
Peters, Gregory Dukes, John Dukes, Michael McDonald and Anthony Dukes. Grand daughters Melissa
Coleman, Michele Carpinnello, Emily Ely, Michelle Fahrenbruch; Great grand sons Levi Peters, Joshua
Peters, Michael Peters and great grand daughters Jordan Ely-Wasinger, Mikaela
Ely-Wasinger, Shallyn Fahrenbruch, Kaelyn Fahrenbruch and Ashlyn Fahrenbruch. She had a Bachelors in Elementary Education received from Fort Hays
State College in Kansas. She received her State teaching certificate for Colorado
from CU of Denver. She also attended college at Loretta Heights in Denver. Her
teaching career began in Kansas where she taught for three years. She taught 1st
grade at All Souls Catholic School starting in 1958. She was the first lay person to
teach at All Souls Catholic Church and was named teacher of the year in 1976 by the
Archdiocese of Denver. She retired after 32 years of teaching. During her tenure at
All Souls she taught over 1,000 students. Agnes loved God, Tony and her family.
Her greatest passions were teaching and family. She was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother and great grandmother. She was involved in VFW and American Legion
Women's Auxiliary. She liked bowling, arts and crafts and getting first graders
ready for there first communion. She will be sorely missed.


Recitation of the Rosary will be held at Bullock Colonial Chapel on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at 5:30 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Bob Fisher celebrating. Interment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 12:00 Noon. Friends who wish may make memorial donations in Agnes' name to the All Souls Catholic Church Building Fund, 4950 South Logan, Englewood, CO 80113.

A reception will be held at the VFW #9644 (Verle Huffman Post) immediately following the graveside service.
