Terrence "Terry" O'Neil Welcome

Terrence “Terry” Welcome, 87, passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, August 1, 2025, in Lakewood, Colorado.

Born in Bloomington, Illinois, Terry’s life was defined by family, friendship, and a warm, competitive spirit. A Navy veteran and Drake University graduate, Terry worked as a pharmacist for Target and Safeway during his career.. He enjoyed sports, most recently pickleball, and was always ready for a game of cards or a good trivia challenge.

He and his beloved wife, Victoria “Vicki”, to whom he was married for 39 years, raised their family in the Green Mountain area in Lakewood, Colorado. He was a devoted husband, a loving father to Michelle Welcome and Heather Magee, and a proud grandfather to Conner, Sydney and Caylee. Terry is survived by his daughters; grandchildren; his sisters Leslie, Mary Jo, and Jan; son-in-law, Rob; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents Anna Ruth and Lester Welcome; and brother Jim and Don.

Terry was a friend to everyone he met, known for his quick wit, sharp mind, competitive nature, and warm sense of humor.

A celebration of life will be held in the near future.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Foothills Animal Shelter in Terry’s memory.
