Writing this is difficult, it means our big sister is gone from our lives. Nancy was the oldest of three girls. She was the typical older sister, always trying to take care of us, and of course bossing us around. Even to the end, she would say “make sure you eat something”.

There aren’t enough words to describe the love and admiration we had for Nancy. We admire her courage through unimaginable grief of losing her children. Her brave fight through the final months of her life, her reassurance that she wasn’t afraid to go home.

We cherish all the good memories of growing up. She would convince MaryAnn to let her cut her hair, or put MaryAnn’s hair in an updo, with so much hairspray and bobby pins, the end results of the new hairstyle weren’t pretty. The awful sugar cookies she would make from scratch, when our parents went out for the evening. With a quarter she would send Karen to buy penny candy, then we would sit in a circle and take turns taking a piece from the pile. These simple things that made us happy.

Unfortunately, at times we let our stubbornness keep us from talking, but our love and loyalty to each other never faltered. In the end it was the three of us together again, to reaffirm our love for one another.

We are so grateful to have had her as our sister. We will miss your bright smile and warm personality.

Rest in peace.

All our love your sisters.

  1. Today was my final goodbye to my beautiful dear friend. You where one of my best friends and I was honored to be your friend. Im sorry you didn’t get to enjoy your retirement like you earned and deserved. It was definitely cut way to short. Who would of thought that someone who never called in sick and left with the maximum sick hours would pass so soon after retiring. Im so thankful for the conversations we had before you got sick and more important the talks we had after you got sick. We laughed together and cried together held hands and prayed together and those times are in my heart forever.
You where so brave and accepting of your health moving forward. We talked about you going to heaven to be with your family that had passed before you and the beautiful angel wings you where getting. I learned so much from you and you probably didn’t even know it. Your service was beautiful your family did well. I miss you so much already but Im sure you are in no pain and at peace. I love you my friend.
