Kathleen Marlowe

Kathy – so many words come across the mind, but there will never be enough time to express it all. She was an intelligent, classy lady that stood out amongst the crowd. Must’ve been why Rich chose her as the love of his life. She was the ultimate mom, wife, and grandmother.

One of the first in the family to attend and graduate college, she had a bachelors in the arts, majoring in history. Oh the many history lessons you sat through while visiting with her. Her passions ranged from politics, Native American culture, crime/the justice system, to trains. You’d typically find her watching Judge Judy (she loved the show so much she ended up on it as a witness), Ridiculousness, or Joe Kenda’s show – Homicide Hunter. She always kept her mind sharp, emphasizing the importance of English and reading.

She soaked in any time she could with her “little family”, scheduling regular Sunday breakfasts. Towards the end of her time when going to a restaurant wasn’t feasible, chef quality food was brought to her; she’d rave about these wonderful grilled cheeses made at home and the magic of the air flip. She couldn’t resist an applause. She always had love-hate relationships with animals but would get excited when Violet the Malinois came to visit, and Hitman the cat grew on her in her last months reminding her that companionship with animals is truly special and healing.

As much as she will be missed in our realm, she is holding Rich’s hand, going for a stroll, and watching over all of us. She is survived by her daughter and son, Beth and Bryan, her grandchildren Brianna and Kyla, along with her great grandchildren Kaydennce and Avanti. A celebration of life will be held at a later time, the date still to be determined.
